Single pack, clear, water based sealer for use on interior timber, parquetry, particleboard and cork flooring. Easy to apply, non yellowing, high solids and easy to sand. AQUAPRO 8020 Water Based Sealer provides an ideal first coat in an AQUAPRO Water Based coating system.

Application

Application

Preparation: Preparing the floor to a professional standard is essential to achieve the best results. Fill all nail holes with a water based putty, allow to dry. Sand uncoated floor with 120-150 grade sandpaper or screenback on a flexible pad to ensure floor is uniformly dull with no sanding scratches, nibs or fur. Vacuum thoroughly. Take care to avoid scratching the surface.

Mixing: Stir thoroughly before use.

Tools: 6-10mm nap roller or water based applicator and a high quality brush.

 

  1. Sand uncoated floor with 120-150 grade sandpaper or screenback on a flexible pad to ensure floor is uniformly dull with no sanding scratches, nibs or fur. Vacuum thoroughly. Take care to avoid scratching the surface.

  2. Apply a liberal first coat of AQUAPRO 8020 Sealer using a 6mm or 10mm nap roller cover and good quality brush to cut in around skirting boards and edges. Allow to dry for 1 to 2 hours.

  3. Thoroughly sand floor with 180 grade sandpaper or screenback, remove all nibs, fluff and fur. Vacuum all dust. Take care to avoid scratching the surface.

  4. Apply a coat of AQUAPRO 8068 Hitek or AQUAPRO 8270 Advance 2K. Allow to for 1 to 2 hours. If required, lightly sand floor with 180 grade sandpaper or screenback. Vacuum all dust.

  5. Apply the final coat of AQUAPRO 8068 Hitek or AQUAPRO 8270 Advance 2K.
