DURAPOL 5845 Low Gloss

Premium, clear, low gloss, moisture curing polyurethane. It is a highly abrasion resistant and extremely durable coating that can be used as a final coat to achieve a subtle sheen on timber, parquetry and cork flooring. Available in Low Sheen, Super Satin and Semi Gloss.

Application

Preparation: Preparing the floor to a professional standard is essential to achieve the best results. Fill all nail holes with a water based putty, allow to dry. Sand uncoated floor with 120-150 grade sandpaper or screenback on a flexible pad to ensure floor is uniformly dull with no sanding scratches, nibs or fur. Vacuum thoroughly. Take care to avoid scratching the surface.
Mixing: Stir thoroughly before use.
Tools: 6mm nap roller or applicator and a high quality brush.
  1. Timber Floor - Apply a liberal first coat of DURAPOL 5845 Super Gloss or FASTASEAL 3528 or 3535 Sealer, using a 6mm mohair roller and good quality brush to cut in. If using FASTASEAL allow to dry for 45 minutes before sanding, for all other coatings allow to dry overnight (min 8 hours to max 24 hours).
  2. Apply a second coat of DURAPOL 15845 Low Gloss. Allow to dry overnight (min 8 hours to max 24 hours).
  3. Thoroughly sand floor with 150-180 grade sandpaper or screenback, remove all nibs, fluff and fur. Vacuum all dust.
  4. Apply the final coat of DURAPOL 5845 Low Gloss.
